Trying to keep up with green activities in your community can be a challenge. This site is aimed at providing information for interested members of Dufferin County, Ontario who wish to know the latest environmental information, issues, and events within the community.
The pages in this site are designed to keep you up to date on the various topics that may be of interest to you:
Posts – The page with blog entries on various environmental topics. You can search related posts within this page using the categories selection at the bottom of the page. Note that it if you use the category selection feature, it will also give suggestions at the bottom for related posts on other webpages.
EcoEvents – This page lists ongoing environmental events in Dufferin as well as local ‘green’ initiatives, businesses or programs. This page will be periodically updated with any known current environmental events.
EcoIssues – Lists current and ongoing topics of environmental interest or concern within Dufferin. This page will be periodically updated as more information becomes available on any of the issues.
ContactUs – Check this page for contact information. If you want to get involved, just stay in the loop or even meet with others in Dufferin who feel that the environment is an important cause.
FeedMeGreen – The page dedicated to sources for green information. There are two lists set up; one for movies and documentaries, the other for books and magazines. Visitors to the site are encouraged to leave comments and even reviews on any green media they have enjoyed. Sources of green information on the web is not listed here, but some of the local ones are included in the links section of this site.
MyFootprint – This page provides a road-map of activities that can be undertaken by an individual in the pursuit of trying to live green. Visitors to the site are encouraged to send an email if there are any other elements they feel should be included in this road-map (or even any they feel should be removed)
Greeneighbours – Lists environmental organizations within neighbouring communities at the local level, as well as some provincial and federal ones. We are all a piece of the larger eco-cloud! Remember that local actions can drive global results.
LocalEats – Provides information about local food sources. If you are hoping to start your own ’100 mile diet’ or just want to find some tasty local food, check here.
